William Lee Bonifant, age 67, of Roseville, died suddenly Thursday, January 16, 2014 following a massive heart attack. He was born October 3, 1946 to the late Orville Marcus and Mary Ellen (Shields) Bonifant. A 1964 graduate of Roseville High School, he had worked at Rockwell, Williams Auto Parts and then retired from Dunn Trucking in 2006. Bill was crew chief for Jim Dunn Racing for many years. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and a car guy from his early teens. He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Tolliver) Bonifant; children, Brian Keith (Sheryl), Michelle Lee (Rick) Steen, Melanie Maxwell (Brian) Steed; grandchildren, Cameron, Faith and Ben Bonifant, Joshua (Allison) and Abbie Harris, Logan Steen, Brian, Logan and Emma Grace Steed; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and soon to be born Emma Grace Harris; aunt, Maxine Shields; cousins, Betty (Bonifant) Searls, Andy Moore, Brenda (Ed) McLoud, Edwin Shields, Gary (Mary) Shields and Barbara (Dick) Nickson; treasured friends, Ron (Cindy) Harris, Chuck (Sue) Hina, Jerry (Lori), Danny (Patty) Dunn, Bill Crawford, Bill (Beth) Anders, Danny (Did) Williams, Rocky Carr, Chad and Heidi Milner, Shane (Alisha) Milner and numerous others; honorary grandchildren, Gage, Emma, Aubrey Milner and precious kitty, Pretty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Faye (Bonifant) Ditter, Forest (Bonifant) Moore and Margaret (Shields) Moore, Jack and Edwin Shields; cousins Scott Shields, Mike Moore and Pat Moore. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at the SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME ROSEVILLE, 33 N. MAIN ST. ROSEVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
