John Edgar Stanbery, 57 of Zanesville passed away on Saturday July 5, 2014 in Zanesville.
He was born in Deavertown on January 8, 1957 to the late Raymond and Naomi Lantz Stanbery. John was employed at Stewart-Glapat for over 35 years and was currently serving as Plant Manager.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather who had a big heart and would help anyone he could. He enjoyed Sporting Clays at Briar Rabbit with his shooting buddies: Jan Crawmer, Chase Johnson, Roy Rogers, Shawn Torres, John Smith, Ed Kenily, Jimmie Dunkle, and Robbie Miracle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Tug Stanbery , two sons, Jason (Lisa) Stanbery, and Scott (Angie) Davis; two brothers, Raymond (Judy) Stanbery and Jim Stanbery, and his grandson Logan John Stanbery all of Zanesville. Nieces and nephews, Allen, Lisa, Joe, and Jamie, and step-grandchildren Reagan, Drew, and Aaron.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday July 10 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday in the Snouffer chapel.
