Earl E. Brandenburg, age 80, of Flat Rock, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Michigan.
Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township, Michigan.
Born on May 26, 1934 in Philo, Ohio, he was the son of Rance and Erma (Olden) Brandenburg. On March 21, 1959 he married Delores Miller in Philo, Ohio.
Earl served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956 during the Korean War.
He was employed with Ford Motor Company as a Machine Operator for 30 years until retiring in 1998.
In his spare time he loved to read, do crossword puzzles, tell stories and to go with his son-in-law Joe to the casino. But most of all he loved spending time with his wonderful wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Christopher Dingus.
Surviving is his wife, Delores Brandenburg of Flat Rock; son, Eric Brandenburg (Nadine Kohler) of Woodhaven; 2 daughters, Lori (Joseph) Nagy of Taylor and Lisa Kveen of Gibraltar; 2 sisters, Charlotte Thompson of Duncan Falls, OH and Fern Berkemer of Beverly, OH and 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Nagy of Taylor, Mathew Nagy of Taylor, Katlyn of Taylor, Crystal Dingus of Gibraltar and John Kveen II of Gibraltar.
