Buckeyes' Running Back Maurice Clarett is still sitting out of practice while the Ohio State University and the NCAA investigate alleged special academic treatment and a false police report. But, even if the matter of Clarett's eligibility shapes up, his coach doesn't think he'll be in shape to play football when the season starts. Jim Tressel said that it's not possible for a player to be physically ready for a game without working out with the team. Clarett has been practicing on his own, but Tressel said there is no substitute for game conditions. The Buckeyes open the season August 30th at home against Washington.
