Maurice Clarett's former Teaching Assistant Norma McGill met with an NCAA commitee yesterday in her hometown of Lexington, KY. McGill says she spoke to the crew investigating Clarett's alleged special academic treatment and that when the group showed her test scores from the class she helped teach, they had been altered. McGill accused Clarett of leaving class during the midterm exam, but later taking an oral exam.
Clarett is still sitting out of practice as the investigation continues, but even if matters are resolved soon, it may be too late for the RB to play. Buckeyes' Head Coach Jim Tressel said Wednesday that he doubts Clarett will be ready for the season opener next Saturday.
