St. Louis (21-8-4-1) 3
Columbus (9-20-4-3) 2

NHL-leading goal scorer Rick Nash turns puck over deep in his own zone, and Ryan Johnson beats Marc Denis for the winning goal with under 4 minutes left. Columbus goals were scored by Geoff Sanderson and Todd Marchant. The Blue Jackets recalled top goalie prospect Pascal LeClaire from Syracuse before the game to replace the injured Freddie Brathwaite. As for the Blues, starting goaltender Chris Osgood was hurt early when a clearing attempt by teammate Bryce Salvador hit him in the back of the leg, and Brent Johnson had to come in for Osgood.
