Suspended Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett has pleaded guilty to failure to aid a law enforcement officer and has been fined 100 dollars.
Clarett was accused of filing a false police report by exaggerating the value of personal property he claimed was stolen from a car he borrowed from a dealership.
That charge could have landed Clarett in jail for up to six months.
The lesser charge carries no jail time and will not appear on a criminal record.
Clarett was the Buckeyes leading rusher as a freshman when he led them to the 2002 national championship.
He was suspended for all of the 2003 season.
