A new era begins in Cleveland, as the Browns sign Jeff Garcia to a 4-year, $25-million dollar contract. The quarterback's played the last five seasons with San Francisco, throwing for over 3,000 yards in three of those years. Garcia was let go last month by the Niners when the two sides couldn't agree on a renegotiated contract. Garcia will probably replace Tim Couch, the Browns number-one overall pick in 1999. Couch refused a 50% pay cut last week.
