In High School Basketball, an 18-2 regular season is hard to achieve. Impressing Coach Scott Aronhalt with an 18-2 season may be even harder. Those facts being what they are, the Zanesville Blue Devils completing their 2010-2011 regular season with that 18-2 mark, beating Hillard Davidson on the road, 60-51. In a game that looked like a Blue Devil boondoggle early, Zanesville jumped out to a 9-0 start on their way to an 18-6 lead after the first quarter. The Wildcats proving they were up for the challenge, cutting the Blue Devil lead to two at halftime. The second half featured eight lead changes, but ultimately, Zanesville made it 13 straight victories in their regular season finale. Tanner Gibson and Kade Haddox leading the Blue Devils with 15 points each. Even though Zanesville has won 13 straight and 18 of 20, their next loss will be their last game of the year. The tournament starts on Monday, February 28th, when Zanesville takes on the winner of Philo and Indian Valley at 6 PM in Coshocton.
