Fresh off their first MVL championship in school history, John Glenn struggled and fell in its first game of the postseason.  The Muskies took the lead late in the second half, off a Kerrie Dolick goal.  West Holmes' Abby Callahan tied it up with three to play.

The game then went into extra time, where the Knights won in the second extra period off a Muskies' own goal.  The Knights get either Tri-Valley or Philo for the sectional championship.

Morgan 0 - River View 11

The top seed in the Philo sectional rolled its opening opponent Morgan, 11-0.  The Black Bears get either Dover or Maysville in the sectional finals..

Philo 7 - Tusky Valley 2

Philo rolled in its playoff opener, easing past Tusky Valley by a score of 7-2.  Slade Moore paced the way with a first-half hat trick.  The Electrics will face the winner of River View/New Philadelphia for a sectional title.

Dover 9 - Morgan 0

Dover quickly dispatched the Morgan Raiders, 9-0, in both teams' playoff openers.  The Tornadoes will meet either Maysville or West Holmes in the sectional championship.

Coshocton 2 - West Muskingum 1

The Redskins jumped in front early, and never looked back in a close win over West M, 2-1.  Lucas Dunlap scored CHS' first goal of the playoff, off an Austin Bryant free kick.  A goal from Evan Johnson, the leader in the East District, made it 2-0 in the second half.

Zach Kimble put West M on the board later in the final frame, but West M's rally came up short.  The Redskins advance to the sectional championship.

Rosecrans 3 - Steubenville Catholic Central 1

Rosecrans also took it to their opponents early and won as a result, 3-1 over Steubenville Catholic.  Logan Lazar broke through, after falling down in the attacking third, with a goal in the first half.  From there, Rosecrans cruised to a big victory.

The Bishops will face Coshocton Thursday for a sectional championship.  CHS beat Rosecrans 7-2 in the regular season.
