A game that was so close a year ago was anything but this season as Rosecrans cruised to a 21 point win. The Bishops were lead in scoring by senior Aaron Parry who had 24 points but it was senior Ian Durrant who made the biggest splash notching 16 points in his first ever start. The Panthers did a good job in shutting down the reinning Division IV player of the year Zak Kirkbride who scored just nine points in the opener. For the Panthers Bryce Sidwell lead the way with 14 points in the losing effort

The Muskies' motto this year is "The Next Chapter" after a great run last year to the Regional Finals. Coach Greg Woodard and his team beginning life A.H. (After Heagen) with a 16 point victory over his former team. Senior Heath Dodson leading all scorers with 17 points, followed closely by Zach Atkins with 15 points. Leading the Ceramics was Mitchell Swingle with 16 pts, with Caleb Jago contributing 13. John Glenn will host Morgan in their next game Friday night, while Crooksville travels to New Lexington a week from tonight.
Philo 26 Sheridan 34
The offensive struggles were evident for both teams as Sheridan edged out a win over visiting Philo 34-26. The Generals used a 15-6 edge in the second quarter, including three straight from deep, two by sophomore Tyler Fisher and freshman Luke Fox to take their first lead and never looked back. Jacob Horsley led all scorers with 16 points. Tyler Cassidy had seven points in the loss. Both teams hit the floor again on Friday with Philo hosting West Muskingum and Sheridan traveling to West Muskingum.
