Through six games of the high school basketball season, the Tri-Valley boys find themselves right in the middle of the road...three wins and three losses. Not an ideal start, but the Scotties know they still have a long way to go. But if you ask Head Coach Todd Mclaughlin, this is the wake-up call his team needed.
The Scotties have been close in all three of their losses to quality teams, but haven't been consistent on the defensive end. Last Tuesday, John Glenn shot over 50 percent from the floor and forced 24 turnovers on the Scotties, whose offense is still trying to find depth around big-man Avery Williams.
Still, the Scotties aren't panicking just yet. They are a young group, with just three seniors. Most importantly, the Scotties need to start believing in themselves. The talent is there, now it comes down to executing on both ends of the floor.
