Former Tri-Valley and Akron standout Hanna Luburgh announced Monday that she has will continue her basketball career overseas.
The shooting guard signed with AZS-UMCS Lublin, which is based in Lublin, Poland. Two fellow Americans will join her on the team: former Penn State point guard Dara Taylor and former Iowa State Cyclone Chelsea Poppens.
Luburgh recently wrapped up a fantastic senior season with the Akron Lady Zips, leading the team to its first NCAA tournament appearance in program history. She was invited to the WNBA combine and performed well, winning the 3-point shooting contest, but was not selected in the draft.
Luburgh is set to leave for Poland in a month. In the meantime, she has been working out with her former high school coach, Marty Bice.
