Tri-Valley senior wrestler Kade Kowalski won't venture far to pursue his collegiate wrestling career. The first state champion in school history and second in MVL history signed with the Ohio Bobcats on Tuesday at Tri-Valley High School.

Kowalski captured the 145-pound state championship with a 6-2 decision over Trey Grine of Fremont Ross in March. He is currently ranked 17th in the nation according to Flo Wrestling and 18th in the nation according to InterMat in the 152-pound weight...

The Tri-Valley Scotties battle the Athens Bulldogs tonight at Sulsberger Memorial Stadium in Zanesville in the Division 3, Region 9 semifinals. The game is a rematch of last year's showdown in Logan that saw the Bulldogs escape with a 55-52 overtime victory.

Athens has scored 682 points in 11 games this season. Quarterback Joe Burrow has passed for 45 touchdowns while running back Trae Williams has rushed for 38 touchdowns.

West Muskingum Tornado Sabrina Madson officially realized her dream of playing college basketball on Wednesday, signing a letter of intent to Fairmont State.

The forward plans to major in education at the Division II school, which is located about two and a half hours away in Fairmont, W.Va.

The Panthers versus the Cougars, from Gahanna Lincoln Stadium is this week's WHIZ-TV Football Game of the Week.

Over 11,000 fans turned out to watch the Ohio Bobcats host Division III Marietta in Saul Phillips' unofficial coaching debut for the Green and White. The 'Cats struggled in the first half, trailing the Pioneers, 40-37, but rallied to win, 82-69. 

Maurice Ndour paced Ohio with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

The 'Cats officially open the season next week against Appalachain State.
