John Glenn's Drew Rackley, Newark Catholic's Max Hogue and Caldwell's Tanner Clark took part in the North-South all-star games at Otterbein University on Friday. Rackley played for the South in the D1/D2 game while Hogue and Clark played for the South in the D3/D4 game. Tri-Valley head coach Todd McLoughlin was an assistant coach on Rackley's team.

The West Muskingum school board unanimously voted to eliminate "pay to participate" fees for student-athletes, effective in the 2016-17 school year.

"It's a positive step by our board," West Muskingum High School Principal Ray Peyton said, adding that he's "thankful and grateful" for the ruling.

"It's great for the kids. coaches and parents," athletic director Aaron Bates said.

The fees have been a requirement for all West Muskingum...

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Eagles have acquired the No. 2 overall pick in next week's draft from Cleveland in exchange for five picks.

The Browns are getting Philadelphia's first-round pick this year (No. 8), a third-round pick (No. 77) and fourth-rounder (No. 100), plus a first-rounder in 2017 and a fourth-rounder in 2018.

Cleveland also sends a fourth-round pick in 2017 to the Eagles.

The trade presumably allows Philadelphia to select one of the top quarterback...

Rosecrans soccer standout Darby Lynch signed with D-II Wheeling Jesuit University on Tuesday.

Lynch leaves the Lady Bishops as the all-time leading scorer with 68 goals, 52 assists and 188 points.

Lynch earned all-Ohio honors her senior season, first-team all-ECOL honors for four seasons and first-team all-district accolades for three seasons.

Led by Lynch, the Lady Bishops' senior class is the winningest in school history. Rosecrans advanced to the regional final in 2015...

 Zanesville senior wrestler and football standout Drew Hoskinson has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his wrestling career at Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.  This will be the inaugural season for the Gray Wolves and will compete as an NAIA program.

Hoskinson had quite a creer at Zanesville, including a heavyweight ECOL title in 2015.  Hoskinson was joined by his family, friends and coaches.

Zanesville head coach Chad Grandstaff will lead the South all-star team in this year's OHSFCA North-South All-Star Game.  Kickoff will be April 30th from Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio at 4 PM.  

This will be Grandstaff's third time coaching in the North-South game, as he has been an assistant in previous years.  Along with Grandstaff, Zanesville's Leo Crosby, Drew Hoskinson and Tri-Valley defensive lineman Hunter Polk will also represent the South.

 Former Athens quarterback Joe Burrow led the way for the Gray squad at Ohio State's spring game with 3 touchdowns and 196 yards passing.
