John Glenn's Austin Blatt sunk the game winner to lead Ohio over West Virginia, 107-106, in the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All-Star Classic at Parkersburg South High School. The victory is Ohio's third all-time over West Virginia.

West Virginia won the girls game, 94-86.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Browns have signed free-agent quarterback Robert Griffin III, who hasn't been the same since his dazzling rookie season in Washington.

Griffin didn't play a snap in 2015 and was recently released by the Redskins. The Browns met with RG3 last week and will now give him a chance to resurrect his career and win their starting job.

Four days after John Glenn boys basketball edged St. Vincent-St. Mary to win its first state championship, the Village of New Concord celebrated in the streets. Head coach Greg Woodard and the Muskies paraded through the streeets and took part in a pep rally at the Fish Tank. The evening also served as a send-off for John Glenn's seniors: Drew Rackley, Matt Weir, Tanner Slack, Austin Blatt, Austin Lowery and Clayton Lake.

The Muskingum University softball team played its first home games of the season this afternoon at Donna J. Newberry Field taking on the Denison Big Red.  Denison was dominant in both games, winning 4-3 and 6-2.  The Fighting Muskies next game will be on Friday in a conference matchup against Otterbein.

Zanesville running back De'Aunte Goins is officially going to be a collegeiate athlete next season at Hocking College.  The senior made it official yesterday at Zanesville High School.

Hocking College is a junior college in Nelsonville, Ohio and competes in the NJCAA Division 12.  This is just one of  the accomplishments for the senior running back.  Earlier this year, he was awarded the Art Teynor Award.

 West Liberty senior and Zanesville alum Kailee Howe was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America Team today for the second straight season.  She has earned Honorable Mention honors, and was the only player from the MEC named to the list.  Howe capped off her senior season averaging just shy of a double double with 14 points and 9.6 assists per game. 

Howe ranks 11th in school history with 1,360 and 5th in assists with 779.

The John Glenn Muskies are enjoying their time as state champions after one of the toughest seasons in program history.  The Muskies have had to deal with adversity throughout the entire season, but came together as a team when it mattered most.  John Glenn finished the regular season 19-1 with their only loss of the season coming against Linden High School during this year's KSA in Florida.  The Muskies never looked back and dominated postseason play.  After two straight...

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Drew Rackley has been named the most outstanding player of the Associated Press Division II all-tournament team after leading New Concord John Glenn to its first state championship.

Rackley scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Little Muskies beat Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 76-72 Saturday. He had 22 points in a semifinal victory Thursday.
