 J.T. Barrett tied Kenny Guiton's program record with six touchdown passes as Ohio State bounced back from its week two defeat to Virginia Tech by crushing Kent State, 66-0. Rod Smith, Michael Thomas and Curtis Samuel each scored a pair of touchdowns. The Bucks will be back in action Sept. 27 at home against Cincinnati.

Tusky Central Catholic improved to 3-0 on the season, defeating Rosecrans (1-2), 40-20 at Sulsberger Memorial Stadium. The Bishops are back in action next Friday as they open up conference play against undefeated Coshocton.

Maysville handed John Glenn its first MVL loss in volleyball by winning in straight sets, 25-18, 25-20, 26-24. Aubrie Clarke was perfect on her serving and added 19 assists. Kori Sidwell pitched 12 digs, 9 kills and 1 ace. Mylie Swauger registered seven kills and seven digs.

In girls soccer, West Muskingum beat Philo, 1-0, thanks to a lone goal from Ashley Guthridge in the 36th minute. Tornado keeper Chelcey Tusing turned in the shutout.

 The Lady Muskies won a five-set thriller over Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday night, 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25, 15-9. Muskingum improves to 6-4 overall on the year and puts an end to a four-game losing skid.
