COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State will spend $42 million to shore up part of Ohio Stadium, improve the experience for fans with obstructed view seats, add more luxury seating, and make other upgrades.

Athletic director Gene Smith announced the four-year project on Tuesday, which will help further preserve and improve the 94-year-old stadium on the Columbus campus. Work will begin in 2017.

The Scotties lead 5-1 going into the 6th inning, then dominated the final two. They tacked on 7 more runs to beat Sheridan 12-1 on the first game of the season.

West Muskingum and Muskingum Unviersity both swept their opponents this afternoon. High school baseball officially began today, as the Tornadoes took on the Caldwell Redkins. West won the first game 5-4 and the second game 13-5. Muskingum rallied to defeated Wilmington in 10 innings the first game 6-5 while cruising to victory in the second game of the twin bill 16-4 behind 4 RBI's from right fielder Vayden Wood.

John Glenn's Austin Blatt sunk the game winner to lead Ohio over West Virginia, 107-106, in the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All-Star Classic at Parkersburg South High School. The victory is Ohio's third all-time over West Virginia.

West Virginia won the girls game, 94-86.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Browns have signed free-agent quarterback Robert Griffin III, who hasn't been the same since his dazzling rookie season in Washington.

Griffin didn't play a snap in 2015 and was recently released by the Redskins. The Browns met with RG3 last week and will now give him a chance to resurrect his career and win their starting job.

Cleveland has started 24 quarterbacks since 1999 and the team is expected to take a one with the No. 2 overall pick in this...

Four days after John Glenn boys basketball edged St. Vincent-St. Mary to win its first state championship, the Village of New Concord celebrated in the streets. Head coach Greg Woodard and the Muskies paraded through the streeets and took part in a pep rally at the Fish Tank. The evening also served as a send-off for John Glenn's seniors: Drew Rackley, Matt Weir, Tanner Slack, Austin Blatt, Austin Lowery and Clayton Lake.
