The Tornadoes came out to an impressive 14-2 lead, but the Muskies were able to go ahead by one in the third quarter.

Last year, Morgan relied on a strong post presence to out-muscle opponents.

This season, different story. The Raiders lack of size forces them to run and gun this year.

But don't count them out in the MVL. This Morgan team has the offensive weapons to compete.

Newark Catholic and Ridgewood both advanced to the playoffs this season thanks to some great defense. It's only fitting that the Associated Press recognizes the two team's top defensive players with the top defensive honor.

In Division VI, Newark Catholic senior Zach McPhearson may have got a lot of credit for his offensive output as a star running back, but its his defense that made him the complete player. McPhearson is named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in D-6.

It wasn't pretty, but Sheridan escapes the brand new Ankrum Memorial Gym with a key MVL victory over West Muskingum.

The Generals lead 19-17 at the half and pull away late in the 4th quarter. Sheridan junior Molly Brink scores a game-high 16 points, while Sophomore post Amanda Dobbins paces the Tornadoes with 10 points.
