Money can buy a lot of things, even priceless memorbilia.

That was the attitude Ohio State fans took on when 10 members of the Ohio State football team appeared at The Sports Zone in the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville.

A crowd estimated of well over 1,000 people lined up as early as 10 a.m. Wednesday to catch a glimpse of their favorite Buckeye.

Fans paid $25 for senior linebacker A.J. Hawk's autograph, while the nine other senior players cost fans $20 each...

Fresh off a Fiesta Bowl victory over Notre Dame, nine members of the co-Big Ten Champion Ohio State football team are scheduled to make a stop in Zanesville.

On Wednesday, January 11 from 6-8 p.m. at The Sports Zone, Seniors A.J. Hawk, Anthony Schlegel, Bobby Carpenter, Rob Sims, Josh Huston, Mike Kudla, Nick Mangold, Tyler Everett, and junior Donte Whitner, will be signing autographs.

Individual autographs will cost $25 for A.J. Hawk and $20 each for all other players....

Four three years Meadowbrook grad Dom Capers had expansion Houston moving in the right direction. An off year in 2005 has cost him his job.

Capers told his players Monday that he has been relieved of his head coaching duties after the Texans finished an NFL worst 2-14.

In his first three seasons with Houston, Capers posted four, five and seven wins, but failed to continue the uphill improvment.

Zanesville native Kevin Martin recorded his third NBA career high in a week Friday night.

Martin poured in 22 points in Sacramento's 116-112 win over Boston.

Martin also grabbed seven rebounds, in 46 minutes of play. He started for the fifth straight game.

Martin had not been seeing much playing time. But when shooting guard Bonzi Wells went down with an injury, Martin came off the bench, and has been red hot.

Growing up in South Eastern Ohio I had a lot of different options as to what sports I wanted to participate in . You know football, basketball, baseball...the basics.

However, I never had the chance to play ice hockey, something I wanted to try after seeing the Disney movie, The Mighty Ducks.

Problem was there was no where to play around here. Well now there is.
