Softball MVL Champion John Glenn may have been knocked out of tournament play in the Sectional, but Division II coaches didn't hold that against the Muskies ace pitcher.

After a stellar year in the circle that saw her go 22-3, the Associated Press tabbed junior pitcher Logan Hursey first team All-Ohio, as voted on by coaches across the state.

Fresh off winning its fourth state championship in five seasons Newark Catholic baseball reaping the benefits.

The Associated Press names Green Wave senior pitcher Michael Taylor the Division IV Player of the Year and first team All-Ohio. As a senior Taylor posted a perfect 12-0 record on the mound, including a state-semi final win over Kalida where he struck out 16.

Shenandoah grad Jedidiah Stephen calls being drafted by Baltimore the best day of his life.

Thanks to four solid years at Ohio State, Stephen proved his worth to those willing to give him a shot. Just as he did when he graduated high school.

Halfway through his second season with Oakland, Zanesville High School grad Jay Payton has found another consistant role in the outfield.

This week, Payton made his only visit to the buckeye state for a three game series at Cleveland.

After playing in the ZDGA Junior Championship for six years, Rosecrans grad Nick Bryan finally uses his experience to his advantage.

On the final day of the 36-hole event at Jaycee, Bryan fires a two-under 69 to finish four under for the tournament.

Newark Catholic baseball may be two days removed from winning its fourth state championship in five years, but the memories of the historic day won't soon be forgotten.

After a successful four years playing baseball at Ohio State, Shenandoah High School grad Jed Stephen figured he would be picked in the major league draft. Little did he know he would go so high.

Nick Bryan capped off his senior season at Rosecrans, helping lead the Bishops to a state runner-up finish. Now he's just fine tuning his game before he heads off to Baldwin-Wallace College next fall.

Some early results are in from the Ohio State Track and Field Championships and already the area has a state champion.

Licking Valley junior Heather Sole wins the Division II girls high jump Friday afternoon at Jesse Owens Stadium. Her jump of five feet five inches was tops for the day. River View junior Kate Tatro finsihed fifth in the high jump, clearing five feet four inches. That's still good for All-Ohio honors.
