When the Sacramento Kings played in Cleveland in April, Kevin Martin only played in the final minute of the game. Maybe this time around the Zanesville native will have earned some playing time by March.

Monday the NBA released its league schedule and Sacramento won't visit The Q (Gund Arena's new name) until March first.

As for the Cavs, they open the season November 2nd at home versus New Orleans, then they hit the road two days later for a game with the defending...

Junior Pioneers 1

Playing in the national tournament, after receiving an automatic bid for hosting a Regional, the Junior Pioneers lose in the only game played Monday. All of the other games scheduled for Monday were rained out.

In front of a estimated crowd of 9,000 fans, Brock Whiteman (Senior/John Glenn H.S.) led the Juniors at the plate going 3-3 with a walk.

Adam Lescalleet broke his personal best in the second round of the ZDGA Amateur Sunday at Vista View.

Lescalleet shot a seven under par 64, in a round that included eight birdies. He takes over the overall lead from Chad Morrow. Lescalleet is at six under through two rounds.

Morrow entered the day with the lead, after shooting a three under 68 Saturday at Jaycee.
The field is cut to 60, and the third round will be Saturday at Eagle Sticks.

At Commerica Park, the Indians score nine runs in the sixth inning, behind 10 hits in route to a 9-6 win over the Tigers. Cleveland sent 15 batters to the plate that inning, where Casey Blake and Coco Crisp both had two hits each, including home runs.

Nate Robertson got roughed up to say the least. He gave up six runs and 10 hits in five-plus innings.

Cleveland's LeBron James has over $120 million dollars in endorsement deals, and now the All-Star guard has someone to make sure that money keeps coming in.

James hires Leon Rose, who is also the agent of Allen Inverson. Rose replaces Eric and Aaron Goodwin, which LeBron fired earlier this year.

The Akron native still has two years remaining on his rookie contract with the Cavs.

After undergoing surgery on both knees, the Junior Pioneers' Brock Whiteman dicovered he could no longer wrestle and play baseball.

The first team All-MVL catcher at John Glenn gave up wrestling, and now hopes that his concentration on one sport will help him reach the next level.

In one of the biggest signings in the five-year history of the franchise, Columbus signs defensemen Adam Foote to a three-year contract worth a reported 13.5 million dollars. Foote comes from Colorado, where he has spent his entire 13-year career with the Avalanche, winning two Stanley Cups.
