Ohio State Quarterback Troy Smith has found himself in trouble again with the NCAA this past week for violating another of the organizations many rules.
Tennessee Titan Quarterback Steve McNair in trouble for attending a camp ran Smith. NCAA rules stat that a player cannot miss class for a charitable or educational event unless they have permission from the school’s athletic director.
However, Ohio State says that the camp hired the Q-B and that falls outside of NCAA...

At Gant Stadium, Johnny McMasters' game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th with bases loaded gives the Juniors a win over COL Rival Columbus Braves, 5-4.

At Philo's Sam Hatfield Stadium for the 24th annual Muskingum Valley-Licking County All-Star Game, Rosecrans grad Scott Moyer throws a pair of touchdowns and earns MVP honors, as Muskingum wins 14-7.

It's Muskingum Valley's first win in the last five years, taking their lead in the all-time series to 13-11.

Since helping lead the Rosecrans football team to the playoffs his senior year, Johnny Bills has signed to play college ball with Ohio Dominican.

But even now as the Muskingum Valley-Licking County All-Star game is upon us, Bills is still uncertain what position he will play in the future.

In only his first year playing in the Zanesville Seniors' Classic, Jim Spargrove holds off the rest of the 103 player field to claim the 2005 championship. After shooting a 2-under 70 on Tuesday, Spargrove turns in a 1-under 71 on the final day to win by three strokes.

Cleveland General Manger Danny Ferry's plan of making the Cavs a championship team is continuing to look better every week this off season. After shooting guard Larry Hughes and center Zydrunas Illgauskas agree to sign with Cleveland, power forward Donyell Marshall makes his commitment.

- At Gant Stadium, Newark records its third mercy rule victory to advance to the Regional tournament. The state champions as 14-year olds, Newark goes 4-0 for the tournament. In the win Newark pounds out 17 hits. Rob Howell and KC Weber go a combined 6-6 at the plate for the state champions. Zanesville finished the tournament in 4th place of eight teams.

At the Zanesville Country Club, 55-Year Old Jim Spargrove leads the 41st Seniors' Classic after one round. The current ZCC club champion shoots a two-under 70 in his first time playing the event. Fellow first-timer from Zanesville, Larry Snode is a stroke back, recording a 1-under 71. Defending champion John Dinan struggles on day one, carding a 79. The second and final round will get underway at 9 a.m. Wednesday with a shotgun start.
