ESPN reports that the NCAA wishes to speak to Maurice Clarett about his claims of improper benefits within the Ohio State football program.

This comes after several players, including 2004 graduates Drew Carter and Fred Pagac, Jr., stepped up and supported the former OSU running back for at least some of his claims.

Both Carter and Pagac don't think Tressel was involved with any loaner cars for Clarett, but do say that the running back drove around several expensive cars....

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize one of Zanesville's biggest sporting events took place this summer when the NBA's Sacramento Kings drafted ZHS grad Kevin Martin in the 1st round.

That respect for its past star will be reflected when the Blue Devils retire K-Mart's jersey on January 22nd when ZHS plays Dublin Coffman.

Josh Barrera may have rooted for the Wolverines growing up. But like Ted Ginn, Jr., the Sheridan lefthander decided to take his game to Ohio State, only for baseball, not football.

Barrera averaged over 2 K's per inning last year. He tossed 3 no-hitters, and was named 1st team all-state.

The Inter-Regional soccer camp has provided players for the 1996 Olympic goal medal women's soccer team, the 2004 Olympic team, the 2003 World Cup team and the U-19 national team.

And now, the program has discovered someone from Zanesville.

Tahnai Annis, a 15-year-old freshman at Tri-Valley, left Saturday for a weeklong national soccer camp in Boca Raton, FL.

"I've been real busy lately with the high school soccer season ending. My club season is just starting...
