The University of Cincinnati decided not to follow Ohio State's one-and-done path with Jim O'Brien. Instead, the school has suspended basketball head coach Bob Huggins indefinitely.

Athletic Director Bob Goin wouldn't specify the time period for the suspension, but left open the possibility of Huggins' return by next season. The coach will still be paid, and will meet with school officials as to what to do next to get back on the court as soon as possible.

Huggins was...

According to Draftcity.com, Day 3 of the Chicago pre-draft camp featured more Kevin Martin scouting, this time by the Bulls.

Chicago scouted 4 others during the workouts. The website says the Bulls didn't give the Zanesville grad a chance to show off his impressive athletic ability, but that Martin still showed overall smoothness, skill and size.

The Bulls have 2 picks in the 2nd round (31st and 38th overall)... and one in the first round, but at 3rd overall.

So much for the General joining the Senator.

Reports differ on when the move will officially happen.

But the result is the same: Tim Couch's days with Cleveland are over.

Some reports say the Browns cut the former number on overall draft pick on Wednesday. Others cite an NFL source who says the release becomes official when Couch resolves his grievance against the Browns.

Couch became expendable once Cleveland signed former San Francisco quarterback Jeff Garcia this offseason.

How ironic that the one coach criticized for not going after the high-profile recruit gets fired for alleged recruiting violations.

Ohio State fired head basketball coach Jim O'Brien Tuesday. Buckeyes athletic director Andy Geiger says the action is the result of $6,000 allegedly given five years ago to former recruit Alex Radejovic by O'Brien.

"We consider these matters to be very severe," Geiger said. "I am troubled that a rule was admittedly violated and it took five...
