Zanesville football has a new head coach, and Dave Everson is that man. Superintendent Michael Pockl recommended Everson to the school board on Wednesday, and with a unanimous vote, the former Edison head coach became Zanesville's head man.

The attorney for former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett, Alan Milstein, filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday.
Milstein asked the nation's highest court to lift the stay issued Monday by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The stay, in effect, declares Clarett and other underclassmen, including USC receiver Mike Williams, ineligible for the NFL until there can be a meaningful review of the issues.
