The Cleveland Browns’ Hall of Fame quarterback Otto Graham has died.

He was 82. A team spokesman says Graham died wednesday at a hospital in Sarasota, Florida after being hospitalized earlier in the day with a heart condition.

Graham took coach Paul Brown’s team to a championship game in each season he played.

The University of Akron hired J.D. Brookhart as its new football coach Monday. Brookhart has served as the University of Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator since 1997. He replaces Lee Owens, fired from Akron last month after a 7-5 season.

Paul Silas shouldn't have any more troubles with Ricky Davis.

And that may not be the only reason why Cleveland becomes a better team.

The LeBron James-Carmelo Anthony matchups received a lot of attention this season.

After serving as a backup most of his career, BJ Sander finally finished a leg up.

The Ohio State punter won the Ray Guy Award, annually given to college football's best punter, on Thursday.

Sander, a fifth-year senior from Cincinnati, averaged 43.6 yards a punt this season. Also, 48% of his kicks went inside an opposing team's 20 yard line.

Sander punted a little his redshirt freshman season, but then sat for two years behind All-American Andy Groom.

Monday Night Football may come back to Cleveland after all.

In hosting its first MNF game since 1995, the Browns played the Rams tough in a 26-20 loss. Cleveland rallied behind backup quarterback Tim Couch, scoring two second-half touchdowns. Couch threw for 98 yards and a touchdown in relief of starter Kelly Holcomb.

The AFL's Columbus Destroyers slap another Buckeye on the helmet. Joey Galloway joins the team's ownership group. The former OSU wide receiver and current Dallas Cowboys wide out said he's excited to learn a side of the game he doesn't experience as a player. Galloway joins a team that has former OSU Head Coach Earle Bruce as its Head Coach, plenty of former Buckeyes on the playing roster, and former OSU greats Chris Spielman and Jim Lachey as part owners.

The Ohio Bobcats fire offensive coodinator Greg Gregory Monday. OU averaged 337 yards of offense this season and only 22 points per game. Gregory had been Ohio's offensive coordinator the past three seasons. "I commend Greg for his service to this university and the football program," Head Coach Brian Knorr said. "However, I decided to make a change. It is my belief that our offense needs different leadership to carry us into the future."

Cincinnati fired head coach Rick Minter Monday after the Bearcats 5-7 season. Minter, the coach at UC for the last 10 years, failed to generate enough of a fan base and create national exposure, sources said. Cincinnati offered Minter another position in the athletic department.
