OAKLAND (AP) - Cleveland's championship drought is over.
LeBron James had a triple-double, Kyrie Irving's 3-pointer with 53 seconds left put Cleveland ahead to stay and the Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night.
It's the first major championship for the City of Cleveland since the Browns in 1964.

The Zanesville Senior Pioneers win a twin bill at Jay Payton Field against the Newark Diamonds. The Pioneers defeated the Diamonds 9-8 in nine innings thanks to a an rbi single by Matt West in the bottom of the ninth inning. Zanesville won the second game 9-1 to go 4-0 over the Diamonds this summer.
After a pair of rainouts in April and May, Muskingum County Speedway hosted the Jim Dunn Memorial Qualifier Friday night. The race served as "The Million Dollar Man" Donnie Moran's promoting debut. The Jim Dunn Memorial takes place at Ohio Valley Speedway on Saturday, June 18.

With the 35th annual Muskingum Valley-Licking County All-Star Football Game less than two weeks away, both sides are busy preparing to go head-to-head at Newark White Field. Watkins Memorial's Jeff Severino is in charge of the Licking County squad for the first time while Zanesville's Chad Grandstaff will be yet again stomping the sidelines for Muskingum Valley. Both teams wore shoulder pads for the first time on Tuesday.
Muskingum Valley held its first practice for this year's Muskingum Valley-Licking County All-Star Game. This year's contest will be held June 24th from Newark White Field. Muskingum Valley leads the all-time series, 18-16. The game will be broadcast on Z92 and will air on delay on WHIZ on Saturday, June 25.
The Licking County Settlers fell to the Southern Ohio Copperheads 9-7 at Don Edwards Stadium. The Settlers were held scoreless for six innings before tacking on seven runs in the final two innings. The Settlers are now 3-5 on the season and sit 4.5 games out of first place in the GLSCL South.
