MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The rehabilitation assignment for Toronto Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen has been halted because of lingering tightness in his lower back.
Janssen has been on the disabled list since the start of the season. He pitched for Class A Dunedin Tuesday, but according to manager John Gibbons he didn't feel better afterward and was told to take a few days off from throwing.

NEW YORK (AP) — Seattle Mariners first baseman Ji-Man Choi has been suspended for 50 games following a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance.
The urine sample was collected from Choi before March 28, when Major League Baseball and the players' union increased the penalty for a first testing violation for PEDs to 80 games. MLB said Thursday that Choi tested positive for methandienone, a controlled substance popular with bodybuilders.
