EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have re-signed wide receiver Kevin Ogletree.

The Giants announced the move on Tuesday, roughly three weeks before Ogletree could have become an unrestricted free agent.

Ogletree joined the Giants on Oct. 14, two days after Victor Cruz suffered a season-ending knee injury. He caught five passes in seven games.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — South Carolina coach Frank Martin has suspended sophomore forward Demetrius Henry and freshman guard Shamiek Sheppard for the remainder of the regular season.

The suspensions for unspecified conduct detrimental to the team were announced before Tuesday night's game at Georgia.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The Buffalo Sabres are waiting to find out how long defenseman Josh Gorges will be sidelined with an undisclosed lower-body injury.

Sabres coach Ted Nolan said before Tuesday night's game against the Devils in New Jersey that Gorges was being evaluated. Nolan was not certain whether the injury, the result of a nagging problem, would sideline Gorges for the rest of the season.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nate Allen says he's cooperating with police in Fort Myers, Florida, after being detained for nearly five hours over the holiday weekend.
