EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have cut prices for preseason tickets almost in half as part of a new program that will reduce the overall cost of season package slightly for almost all fans.

The Giants e-mailed season ticket holders on Tuesday with an outline of the changes.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent offensive lineman Erik Pears to a two-year contract.

The team announced the deal on Tuesday.

Pears spent the past five seasons in Buffalo and started all 16 games the past two years. Pears played right guard in 2014 and right tackle the previous year and will provide some needed versatility for a San Francisco line that lost starting left guard Mike Iupati in free agency....

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays are working to finalize a minor league contract with left-hander Randy Wolf.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said before Tuesday night's game against the New York Yankees that the team and Wolf are in discussions.

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Stephen Strasburg struck out five in four scoreless innings to lead the Washington Nationals over the Detroit Tigers and Justin Verlander 6-4 Tuesday.

Making his second spring-training start, Strasburg allowed three hits and no walks.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Officials say three football players have been stabbed in a fight outside a dining hall on the Morgan State University campus.

University spokesman Clint Coleman said the players were stabbed Tuesday when someone began swinging a knife wildly.

Coleman says one of the players was slashed across the chest, another was cut in the cheek and the other in the arm. They were taken to a hospital. A suspect was taken into custody....

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers have signed guard Nate Robinson to a second 10-day contract.

He has averaged 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in five games.

The nine-year NBA veteran has had stints with New York, Boston, Oklahoma City, Golden State, Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles.

Robinson helped Boston reach the 2010 NBA Finals, when he was with current Clippers coach Doc Rivers.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Clay Buchholz allowed four runs in four innings, and Boston's defense committed four of the game's seven errors in an 11-3 loss by the Red Sox to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday.

Buchholz gave up two earned runs and five hits, striking out six. A throwing error by second baseman Dustin Pedroia led to a pair of unearned runs in the fourth.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Thunder forward Serge Ibaka could miss the rest of the season after having an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee Tuesday.

Thunder general manager Sam Presti said Ibaka will be out four to six weeks. The playoffs begin April 18.

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — Yu Darvish had his season-ending elbow surgery Tuesday, when the torn ligament from the Texas Rangers ace's right arm was replaced with a tendon from his forearm.

The Rangers say Dr. James Andrews reported elbow ligament-replacement surgery went as expected, with no complications.
