GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Lara Gut of Switzerland won her first Super-G race of the season on Sunday to cut into Lindsey Vonn's overall World Cup lead.

Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany edged Vonn for second place and prevented the American from winning back-to-back races on the Kandahar hill. Vonn won Saturday's downhill.

MOSCOW (AP) — Last year's finalist Russia suffered a surprise first-round defeat in the Fed Cup on Sunday as the Netherlands built an unassailable 3-0 lead.

With Russian No. 1 Maria Sharapova only scheduled to play the final doubles rubber because of a shoulder injury, Russia had suffered two losses on the opening day before Kiki Bertens secured the win for the Dutch in Sunday's first rubber, beating Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-1, 6-4.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Ken Roczen won the Monster Energy AMA Supercross race Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium for his first victory in over a year.

The Suzuki rider finished 4 seconds ahead of Ryan Dungey, snapping a three-race winning streak for the defending series champion.
