NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Rangers have signed restricted free agent forward Marek Hrivik.

General manager Jeff Gorton announced the signing Thursday without releasing contract details.

Hrivik skated in 68 games with Hartford (AHL) this past season, getting 12 goals and 29 assists. The 24-year-old tied for the team lead in assists, ranked third in points, and tied for sixth in goals this past season.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Items belonging to Ken Stabler are being auctioned online even as the former Raiders quarterback is set to be posthumously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Pristine Auction has listed a total of 458 items, including the Hickok Belt for the Professional Athlete of the Year, and Stabler's varsity letter from the University of Alabama.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Wizards have re-signed reserve guard Marcus Thornton.

General manager Ernie Grunfeld announced the move Thursday, calling Thornton "a proven veteran who gives us experience and scoring off the bench and will add depth at the two-guard position."

Thornton averaged 8.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14 games with the Wizards last season after signing as a free agent March 9 when he was waived by the Houston Rockets....

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes have signed defenseman Connor Murphy to a six-year contract.

Terms of the deal announced on Thursday were not released.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets made the re-signing of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick official, announcing the move less than 10 minutes before the start of the team's first practice of training camp.

Fitzpatrick and the Jets agreed to a one-year deal worth $12 million guaranteed on Wednesday night. The Jets tweeted out a picture of Fitzpatrick signing his deal, and the quarterback is on the field participating in practice Thursday.
