ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Someday the Anaheim Ducks and the Chicago Blackhawks will relish the stories they'll be able to tell about playing in a postseason series as good as these Western Conference finals.

Not just now, though. They've still got to determine whether this tale has a happy ending or a brutal punchline.

Two weeks of extraordinarily high-level hockey conclude Saturday night at Honda Center when the Ducks and the Blackhawks play Game 7 for...

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego State Aztecs are never far from reminders of their late coach, whether it's the bobblehead in the dugout or the images of the Hall of Famer on the outfield wall at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Nearly a year after Gwynn died of cancer, the Aztecs are in the NCAA regionals for the third straight season. They keep doing it the hard way, too, by losing the opening game of the Mountain West Conference tournament and then fighting back through the losers...

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Adrian Peterson took to Twitter on Thursday to express his frustration over criticism he is receiving while staying away from the voluntary portion of the Minnesota Vikings offseason.

Peterson has come under fire after saying he wanted a long-term commitment from the team after missing most of last season while addressing a child abuse charge. He has three years and $46 million left on his deal, but none of that is guaranteed.
