STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder still has high hopes for Travis Ford as Oklahoma State's basketball coach.

Holder sent out a statement Tuesday evening saying Ford would remain the coach amid reports and rumors that Ford's job was in jeopardy. Holder wouldn't say if replacing Ford was considered, but he said no boosters contacted him about contributing to a $9.6 million buyout.

ATLANTA (AP) — Riccardo Ingram, a longtime minor league coach in the Minnesota Twins organization and a former football and baseball star at Georgia Tech, has died at the age of 48 following his second battle with brain cancer.

Georgia Tech said Ingram died on Tuesday night.

MIAMI (AP) — The Miami Heat have ruled rookie guard Shabazz Napier out for the remainder of the regular season after he underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia Wednesday.

Napier is the third Heat player to see his season end early, along with center Chris Bosh and forward Josh McRoberts. Bosh will not play until next season because of blood clots on a lung, and McRoberts is still rehabilitating after knee surgery.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Right-hander Dustin McGowan has been released by the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are now paying $43.8 million for 2015 to cover the costs of five players no longer with the team.

McGowan will receive $124,795 in termination pay because of Wednesday's decision rather than his $507,500 salary, the big league minimum. He would have earned a $1 million bonus for one day of major league service.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State has extended wrestling coach Kevin Jackson's contract through 2018.

Jackson, a 1992 Olympic gold medalist for the U.S., has been with the Cyclones for the past six seasons.

Iowa State went 11-2 in dual meets in 2014-15 and finished with its best winning percentage since 2010. Jackson has coached four national champions at Iowa State, including recent 197-pound winner Kyven Gadson.
