NEW YORK (AP) — Former pro tennis player James Blake says New York City's police watchdog has substantiated his complaint against officers involved in tackling and mistakenly arresting him.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas says longhorn steer mascot Bevo XIV has a "life-threatening condition" and won't travel to Dallas for the team's rivalry game Saturday against No. 10 Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Harry Gallatin, the Hall of Fame basketball player who was a seven-time All-Star forward for the New York Knicks in the 1950s, died Wednesday. He was 88.
