KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — The Badminton World Federation has joined a long list of Olympic sports suspending its membership of SportAccord.

GENEVA (AP) — FIFA Vice President Michel Platini says soccer's world governing body will lack credibility for as long as Sepp Blatter is president.

NEW YORK (AP) — Adam Rosales hit a two-run homer off Chris Capuano that bounced off the top of the left-field wall, Yovani Gallardo won for the second time since mid-April and the Texas Rangers sent the New York Yankees to their 10th loss in 11 games with a 5-2 victory Sunday night.

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Taylor Cummings and Megan Whittle led Maryland to its second straight NCAA women's lacrosse title and record 12th overall, each scoring three goals in the Terrapins' 9-8 comeback victory over North Carolina on Sunday night.
