LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dodgers starter Carlos Frias has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with lower back tightness, although the right-hander isn't expected to be there too long.

Morse joined the team in Chicago following a 12-game rehab stint. During his rehab assignment, Morse hit .263.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs activated outfielder Jorge Soler from the 15-day disabled list in time for Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins and optioned outfielder Matt Szczur to Triple-A Iowa.
Soler is hitting .265 with four home runs and 19 RBIs in 49 games. He sprained his left ankle June 1 at Miami and was placed on the disabled list two days later. Soler played a four-game rehab assignment at Iowa, going 2 for 13 with three walks and one RBI....
