INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Graham Rahal's team has been fined $10,000 because the Fontana winner left the pits with a fuel hose attached to his car Saturday.

Half of the fine issued Wednesday was suspended and one of the crew members was put on probation for three races.

Defending series champ Will Power was fined $25,000 and placed on probation for the rest of the season for directing improper language or gestures at a series official.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Jaime Garcia has been pushed back again and won't start Thursday for the St. Louis Cardinals because of what the pitcher calls a left groin strain.

The left-hander and the team are confident he won't be placed on the 15-day disabled list. Garcia could start early next week in Chicago against the Cubs.

Manager Mike Matheny said the replacement for the opener of a four-game series with the Padres will be a minor league call-up....

NEW YORK (AP) — The United States' win over Germany is the most-watched men's or women's World Cup semifinal ever on American television.

The 2-0 victory by the second-ranked U.S. over the No. 1 Germans on Tuesday night averaged 8.4 million viewers on Fox. The network said Wednesday the previous high was 5.9 million for the 2006 men's semifinal between Germany and Italy.

PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns have reached an agreement with forward Tyson Chandler on a three-year, $52 million contract and agreed with Brandon Knight on a five-year, $70 million extension, people with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The people spoke on condition of anonymity because the deals can't be finalized until July 9.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Houston Texans defensive lineman Brandon Ivory has been charged in what police describe as a residential burglary in Tuscaloosa.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Ivory, a former Alabama standout, was arrested with another man Wednesday after two people said a pair of men busted down a door and took two Apple iPads and cash.

One of the suspects was allegedly armed with an assault rifle and the other had a knife....

A person with knowledge of the details says the Boston Celtics have landed Amir Johnson with a two-year deal worth $24 million.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto says he has resigned, but the team is refusing to confirm his departure.

Dipoto told the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register on Wednesday that he has quit after 3 1/2 years with the Angels, but manager Mike Scioscia and Angels spokesman Tim Mead repeatedly refused to confirm any changes ahead of a team meeting before their game against the New York Yankees.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Jori Lehtera to a three-year contract extension that will begin with the 2016-17 season.

The 27-year-old Lehtera had 14 goals and 30 assists in 75 games in his first NHL season, and ranked second on the team with a plus-21 rating. He had two assists in five playoff games.

Lehtera was a third-round draft pick in 2008 and spent the first seven seasons of his pro career in Europe....
