SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz have traded center Tibor Pleiss to the Philadelphia 76ers for guard Kendall Marshall in a cost-cutting move. The Jazz announced the deal Friday morning and then waived Marshall.

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Falcons rookie safety Keanu Neal will miss the start of the season with a knee injury.

The team says Neal will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Monday and will miss three to four weeks. DALLAS (AP) — Texas Rangers reliever Jeremy Jeffress, who was suspended twice as a minor leaguer for violating drug rules, has been arrested in Dallas on a drunken driving charge.
