Russian doping whistleblower Yulia Stepanova is appealing her ban from the Olympics, saying it was based on incorrect information and dubious legal grounds.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Stewart-Haas Racing will field an Xfinity Series team next season when it moves to Ford.

No driver or sponsor was announced Monday for the team, which will be full-time in 2017. SHR fields four full-time Sprint Cup Series teams.

SHR won Cup titles in 2011 with team co-owner Tony Stewart and in 2014 with Kevin Harvick. Stewart is retiring at the end of the season and will be replaced by Clint Bowyer.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers slugger Prince Fielder is expected to have season-ending neck surgery for the second time in three years.

Fielder got a second opinion Monday, and general manager Jon Daniels says Dr. Drew Dossett recommended surgery. That was the same as Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles said last week after an MRI showed a herniation between Fielder's C4 and C5 disks.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers avoided arbitration with Brayden Schenn, signing the forward to a $20.5 million, four-year contract.
