BANSKO, Bulgaria (AP) — Anna Fenninger of Austria leads after the opening stage of the women's Alpine combined World Cup race in fog-hit Bansko on Sunday.

Overall leader Tina Maze of Slovenia was second, 0.45 seconds behind Fenninger's leading time of 1 minute, 12.73 seconds. Austria's Nicole Hosp was third, 0.59 off the lead.

The alternating clear and cloudy conditions appeared to give some competitors an advantage. Super-G races were canceled...

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Marcel Hirscher of Austria holds a big lead after the first run of Sunday's World Cup giant slalom, while three-time world champion Ted Ligety is almost three seconds behind.

Hirscher navigated the course in 1 minute 23.28 seconds - a full 1.99 seconds faster than 37-year-compatriot Benjamin Raich in second and 2.15 quicker than third-place Alexis Pinturault of France.

TAZAWAKO, Japan (AP) — Hannah Kearney of the United States finished third in Sunday's freestyle World Cup dual moguls event to clinch her sixth overall moguls title.

Kearney beat Canada's Alex-Anne Gagnon in the small final to earn 60 points, a result that gives her an insurmountable 145-point lead in the standings over Canada's Justine Dufour-Lapointe with one event left.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Alan Williams had 15 points and 15 rebounds Saturday night, and UC Santa Barbara beat UC Irvine 54-51.

Zalmico Harmon's 3-pointer gave the Gauchos a 49-45 lead with 1:25 left — the first points in 4:57 for UCSB (16-12, 9-5 Big West).

ASAHIKAWA, Japan (AP) — Zan Kosir of Slovenia won his second straight World Cup parallel slalom snowboard event on Sunday to maintain first place in the overall standings.

Kosir, who also won Saturday's giant slalom, beat Justin Reiter of the United States by 7.60 seconds. Mirko Felicetti of Italy was third after beating Slovenia's Rok Flander in the small final.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Aaron Parks scored a career-high 29, Stephan Hicks had 17 of his 20 points in the second half, and Cal State Northridge beat UC Riverside 83-76 on Saturday night.

The sophomore Parks was 19 for 23 from the foul line in his eighth straight game with double-digit scoring and second 20-point game of his career. Stephen Maxwell added 10 points and nine rebounds.

SEATTLE (AP) — Isiah Umipig scored 16 points and Seattle used a 10-point first-half lead to top CS Bakersfield 53-43 Saturday night.

The Redhawks (14-13, 7-6) now are in a three-way tie with Bakersfield (13-17, 7-6) and Grand Canyon for the No. 3 seed into the Western Athletic Conference tournament. Seattle closes out the regular season at Grand Canyon Saturday, and the WAC tournament begins March 12 in Las Vegas.
