CINCINNATI (AP) — The Pirates have made another move to upgrade their bullpen, acquiring right-hander Joakim Soria from the Tigers for a minor leaguer.

The 31-year-old Soria was 3-1 with 23 saves and a 2.85 ERA in 43 appearances with Detroit this season. He didn't allow a run in 13 of his last 14 appearances. The deal was made a few hours after the Pirates got versatile reliever Joe Blanton from Kansas City for cash.

LATROBE, Pa. (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping bounce-back years for two key players will help kickstart a defense that fell off sharply in 2014.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers and right wing Jakub Voracek have agreed to a multiyear contract extension.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed Thursday.

The 25-year-old Voracek had 22 goals and career highs of 59 assists and 81 points last season.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a deal with nose tackle Isaako Aaitui (ee-saw-AH-koe ah-ah-TOO-ee) and placed tight end Dorin Dickerson on injured reserve.
