CLEVELAND (AP) — Kansas City Royals pitcher Edinson Volquez has dropped his appeal of a five-game suspension for his involvement in a brawl with the Chicago White Sox last week.

WATCHUNG, N.J. (AP) — A Honus Wagner T206 baseball card has been auctioned for $1.32 million in online bidding.

Robert Edward Auctions said Monday that 42 bids were placed by Saturday's deadline for the card, which was rated as a three condition on a scale from one to 10, with 10 the best. The winning bid was for $1.2 million, plus a 20 percent commission.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina says it has added Vanderbilt transfer Paris Kea to its women's basketball team.

Coach Sylvia Hatchell announced her addition Monday.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Atlantic Coast Conference rebounding leader Sarah Imovbioh of Virginia has signed to play her final season with South Carolina.

Imovbioh, a 6-foot-2 forward from Nigeria, spent the past three seasons with the Cavaliers. She's graduating next month and can play next season with the Gamecocks.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Witnesses tell police that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones ran from a crash that hospitalized a pregnant woman but quickly came back to grab "a large handful of cash" from the car.
