BOSTON (AP) — Two dramatically different portraits of Boston Marathon Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) are expected to emerge when prosecutors and Tsarnaev's lawyers give their opening statements at his federal death penalty trial.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Matt Nieto had two goals and an assist in leading the San Jose Sharks to a 6-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Chris Tierney, Melker Karlsson, Logan Couture and Marc-Edouard Vlasic also scored for San Jose, which was coming off a 4-0 home win Monday against Montreal. The Sharks have won seven straight in Vancouver, including the postseason.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Anze Kopitar and Trevor Lewis each had a goal and two assists as the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Tuesday night.

Matt Greene, Jeff Carter and Kyle Clifford also scored for the defending Stanley Cup champions, who snapped a three-game skid that came on the heels of an eight-game winning streak.

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Tre Demps hit tying 3-pointers at the end of regulation and the first OT, Alex Olah scored 25 and Northwestern beat Michigan 82-78 in double overtime Tuesday night.

Whiteside has been fined $15,000 for escalating the incident by wrestling Len to the floor during Monday's game at Miami.
