CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with defensemen Cameron Schilling and Michael Liambas.

The two-year contract for Schilling runs through the 2016-17 season and Liambas is a one-year deal for next season.

Schilling played in six games with the Washington Capitals (2012-15), including four last season. Liambas had five goals, three assists and 158 penalty minutes in 54 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL last season...

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Rangers forward Martin St. Louis is retiring after 16 NHL seasons, seven All Star selections and one Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

St. Louis made the announcement Thursday, roughly a month after helping the Rangers reach the Eastern Conference finals, where they lost to the Lightning in seven games.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Northern Arizona football player Michael DeGroote died while vacationing with his family in Alaska. He was 22.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) — Tiger Woods has rebounded from a dismal U.S. Open with a 4-under-par 66 in the opening round of The Greenbrier Classic.

A person with direct knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Ellis has agreed to terms with the Pacers on a four-year deal worth $44 million. COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State University's marching band is ramping up to appear this fall at the NFL International Series in London. It is the group's first-ever trip abroad.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nashville Predators forward Gabriel Bourque has accepted his qualifying offer and has signed a one-year contract worth $866,250.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have recalled star prospect Miguel Sano from Double-A Chattanooga.

The Twins say Sano will be in uniform for the game at Kansas City on Thursday night. The Dominican slugger was signed as a 16-year-old in 2009 and his debut with the Twins has been anticipated for years.
