BALTIMORE (AP) — The Colorado Rockies reinstated left-hander Chris Rusin from the 15-day disabled list prior to the series finale against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.

Rusin will take the spot of righty reliever Jason Motte, who was put on the 15-day DL with a right rotator cuff strain. Rusin was 2-4 with a 4.12 ERA in 12 games before being sidelined by a strained left shoulder.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have acquired right-hander Lucas Harrell and left-hander Dario Alvarez from the Atlanta Braves for a minor league infielder.

BOSTON (AP) — Rudolph "Spider" Edwards, who with his dust mop and jaunty fedora shared the parquet floor with Celtics stars from Bill Russell to Larry Bird in the old Boston Garden and new, has died. He was 86.
