David P. Marty (February 28, 1950 – July 9, 2014)

David Paul “Pete” Marty, 64, of Zanesville, died July 9, 2014, at his home. He was born February 28, 1950, in Zanesville, a son of the late Paul and Betty Harrison Marty. Pete was a graduate of Zanesville High School and attended Ohio University. He had worked at the Military Beer Dock, and had retired from A.K. Steel.

Surviving are a daughter Debbie Foster; a brother Dick (Pam) Marty; a sister Judy McAllister; three grandchildren, Destiny Foster, Dynasty Landis, and Cody Foster; nephews Mike Marty and John McAllister; nieces Shannon Gosewehr and Julie McAllister; great grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date and arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society: Central Region Office-MUSK, 555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
