Elizabeth C. “Betty” Farmer (November 17, 1934 – April 25, 2014)

ZANESVILLE
Elizabeth “Betty” Farmer, 79 of Zanesville, passed away Friday April 25, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Zanesville, November 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Theodore R. Jerig Sr. and Emma Mae Arter Whitcraft. She worked as a finisher at several local potteries, enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son Robert (Brenda) Farmer; three daughters Nora Hahn, Pamela Farmer and Brenda (David Sr.) Angler all of Zanesville; one brother John Herman Jerig Sr.; three sisters Jennie Rose Mastellar, Sandra K. Welsh and Jonnie Kay Davis; six grandchildren Robert William Farmer, Shannon Marie Farmer, Tessa Dawn Snider, David Allen Angler Jr., Amy Lorraine Grindley and Chad Michael Hahn; 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Franklin “Grumpy” Farmer in 1998 and two brothers Theodore Rudolph Jerig Jr. and Robert Dorsey Jerig.
Calling hours will be held 3-5pm on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 115O WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 5pm with Pastor Mark Matzke officiating. Burial will be Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
