Event Details

Spring Amphibian Fun on April 29 from 6:30-8:30pm at McGraw Edison Park, 6165 Park Lane, Zanesville. Spring is the only time of the year to see many of the amazing frogs, toads, salamanders, and newts found in Ohio. Bring your headlamp and wear your rain boots to prepare for a FREE, fun evening adventure in search of amphibians. The Muskingum Soil & Water Conservation District has prepared a presentation on amphibians including live animals. Then they will lead the group out to the wetlands in search of animals that have entered the vernal pools to breed. Since these animals are nocturnal we will be searching after dark so bring a flashlight and prepare to get wet! Amphibians love rainy nights so this event is Rain Or Shine! Event sponsored by Muskingum Valley Park District and Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation Dist. Questions can be directed to 740-454-2027.
