Storied Lady takes Big A's Biggio Rose Stakes by a head

NEW YORK (AP) — Storied Lady beat Saythreehailmary's by a head Sunday at Aqueduct in the $100,000 Biggio Rose Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares.

The 5-year-old trained by John Hertler snapped an eight-race losing streak. She secured the victory with a strong inside move under Irad Ortiz Jr.

The time was 1:45.64 for the 1 1/16 miles.

Storied Lady paid $10.20, $4.30 and $3.10.

Saythreehailmary's returned $3 and $2.20 as the 9-5 favorite.

Perfect Freud paid $3.80 to show.

Brooks scores 30 as No. 16 Oregon beats Utah 76-66

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Dillon Brooks had 30 points and nine assists, both career highs, to lead No. 16 Oregon to a 76-66 victory over Utah on Sunday.

Chris Boucher added 15 points and Elgin Cook had 12 for the Ducks (20-4, 9-2 Pac-12), who won their sixth consecutive game and 22nd straight at home, one shy of the school record.

Brooks, who had the first 30-point game for Oregon this season, had six rebounds.

Kyle Kuzma led the Utes (17-7, 6-5) with 18 points, and Jordan Loveridge had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Robertson scores 19 to lead Canisius past Rider 67-61

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Kassius Robertson made four 3-pointers and scored 19 points to help Canisius hold off Rider 67-61 on Sunday.

Robertson scored seven points during Canisius' 11-0 run for a 30-23 lead and the Golden Griffins led 34-30 at halftime.

Rider opened the second half on a 7-2 run to take a 37-36 lead with 17:52 remaining but the Broncs did not score again until Xavier Lundy's layup at the 11:05 mark as Canisius built an 11-point lead.

Powers keys No. 17 Michigan St women in 74-69 win over Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Aerial Powers scored 25 points and had a key steal and two free throws in the closing seconds, Tori Jankoska hit four free throws in the final 23 seconds and No. 17 Michigan State held off Iowa 74-69 on Sunday.

Oregon women score 35 in 4th, beat No. 24 Washington 75-63

SEATTLE (AP) — Maite Cazorla and Kat Cooper each scored 16 points and Oregon used 35 fourth-quarter points to beat No. 24 Washington 75-63 on Sunday.

Oregon was behind by 14 points at halftime but made four 3-pointers in the first three minutes of the third quarter to pull to 38-31. The Ducks made six field goals in the quarter — all from 3-point range — and trailed 44-40 entering the fourth.

No. 11 Mississippi State women defeat No. 21 Missouri 52-42

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Morgan William scored 17 points and Victoria Vivians 13, and the two guards made big plays late in No. 11 Mississippi State's 52-42 victory over No. 21 Missouri on Sunday.

Mississippi State (21-4, 8-3 SEC) led 45-42 when William scored and Vivians followed with a steal and 3-point play for an eight-point lead with a minute left. William added two free throws with the duo combining for the Bulldogs' final 11 points.

Esteban Toledo bests Billy Andrade in Champions tour playoff

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Esteban Toledo parred the third playoff hole Sunday to win the Allianz Championship over Billy Andrade on a cold, windy day at Broken Sound Club.

Toledo made a 4-foot par putt after Andrade's 6-foot par try lipped out on the par-4 17th hole. Three of Toledo's four PGA Tour Champions titles have come in playoffs. Toledo (67) and Andrade (68) finished at 11-under 205.

Eli Manning didn't quite outshine brother Peyton Sunday, but he did get more attention than many of the night's ads on social media.

The younger Manning, quarterback for the New York Giants, was shown on TV with a glum face after a play on the field. That was even though other family members in the box were cheering. The image was widely shared on Twitter.

No. 14 UCLA women ease by Arizona 73-39

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Monique Billings scored 14 points and No. 14 UCLA forced 25 turnovers in a 73-39 victory over Arizona on Sunday.

Both teams struggled early until the Bruins closed the first quarter on a 10-2 run for a 16-2 lead. UCLA went on an 8-0 run in the second to extend its lead to 28-6 and the Bruins led 34-11 at the break.
