Florence Ilene Dennis (April 28, 1920 – June 25, 2014)

Florence Ilene Dennis, 94, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:25 AM Wednesday June 25, 2014 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
She was born Wednesday April 28, 1920 in Columbus the daughter of the late Gale Kinny. Florence was the oldest living survivor of the Avondale Children’s Home. She enjoyed knitting and helping in the family businesses, Green’s Tea Room and Fat Jerry’s Alligator Alley.
Florence is survived by 5 daughters: Carol Kaib and Jerry, Lillian Adams, Shirley and John Hocter, Beverly and Roy Haver and Linda and Clint Brumback, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her mother, husband: James Dennis and 2 grandsons.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 AM today Friday June 27, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. is assisting the Dennis family with arrangements.
