Gladys Louise Newman (May 8, 1946 – January 25, 2015)

Gladys Louise “Sissy†Newman, 68 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015.
She was born in Zanesville on May 8, 1946 to the late Gerald and Emily Needham Norman. She owned a Housekeeping business and also worked for Lazarus. She attended the West Side Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus.
She is survived by a son Harry Francis (Judy) Mayle Jr., two daughters: Angela (Rob Kuehner) Mayle and Emily (James) Goines, five brothers; Larry (Karen) Norman, Ricky (Tesa) Norman, Tommy Norman, Gerald (Nancy) Norman, and Jeffrey (Lori) Norman, Five sisters; Teresa (Monty) Felix, Bonnie Mayle, Darlene Norman, Phyllis Newman, and Michelle Norman. Seven grandchildren: Meghan Carroll, Timothy Collier, Harry Francis Mayle III, Miranda Collier, James Mayle, Corbin Mayle, and Cortney Mayle, Eight great grandchildren; Landon, Jalynn, Ty, Omar, Timmy, Caleb, Miyana, and Willie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Harry Francis Mayle Sr., her second husband Edward Newman, three brothers; Billy, Martin, and Michael Norman, and a sister Brenda Norman.
Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8pm on Wednesday at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Tim Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
